Code of Conduct - Players

This document deals with the code of conduct specific to team members. Team members are duty bound by this code of conduct whenever they are representing the Club, whether it is on the field, off field or at any Club or League related function.
Responsible To
All members are directly responsible to the CWFC President, Committee & Coaches.
On The Field
- Play by the rules
- Never argue with an official. If you disagree, discuss the matter with your Captain who can then approach the Umpire if necessary
- Control your temper. Verbal abuse of officials or other players, or provoking an opponent is not acceptable
- Work equally hard for yourself and your team. Your team’s performance will benefit and so will you!
- Be a good sport. Applaud all good plays whether they are by your team, opponent or the other team
- Treat all players as you would like to be treated
- Do not interfere with, bully or take unfair advantage of another player
- Cooperate with your coach, teammates and opponents. Without them there would be no competition
- Play for the "fun of it”
- Avoid using derogatory language
- Be prepared to take responsibility for your actions
- Reject the use of performance enhancing drugs, including caffeine & pseudoephedrine, and abide by the guidelines set forth in the AFL Drug Policy and the CWFC Healthy Club Policy
Off The Field
- Live by the Club’s creed
- Committment
- Intensity
- Courage
- Sportsmanship
- When you are wearing your Club uniform or any other piece of clothing bearing the Club’s logo or insignia you are promoting the values of Claremont Women’s Football Club, Claremont District, Claremont Football Club and Women’s football, act accordingly
- No lewd behaviour
- No public displays of affection
- No drunkenness
- Promote and abide by the Club’s No Alcohol on the Field or in the Change Room policy
- Do not undermine the position of the President, Committee or Coach/es. While you may not agree with their position, they are working on a big picture view and in the best interests of the Club
- Any concerns you have regarding Coaching or Club matters should be made in writing to the Club Secretary, not discussed with third parties
- Avoid using derogatory language
- Be prepared to take responsibility for your actions
- Abide by the guidelines set forth in the AFL Drug Policy and the CWFC Healthy Club Policy
